Serendipity happened... I met Aaron Kruziki on the other end of the phone when I called the Musician's Union to let them know of Billy Puett's passing. This CD is for Billy, my maestro lodestar husband, from me. Aaron is an incredible woodwind artist, as was Billy, and his symphonic magic transforms my music. In playing Billy's soprano sax on "with Only You", Aaron told me he channeled him. I believe it!! And John Grimm, who engineered most of the songs and played hauntingly virtuoso violin on "Curious Eyes", managed to tie everything together into a whole.

I can't thank the talented musicians who helped me enough - my dream band on Kenny Dorham's classic, "Blue Bossa" - Neal, Aaron, Louis, and Emrah - thank you, you're the best! I added songs from two previous releases of mine to let Billy's spirit shine. I also included "Cruisin" by Teresa Young, a duo partner for years in Nashville, as well as her impeccable lyrics to "Puerto Vallarta Valentino". I resurrected a few songs for old times sake.
